Rental terms

Short, plain, and the same for every cart. Versión en español

  1. Who can rent and drive. You must be 18 or older to rent. You are responsible for the cart and for anyone who drives it. Every driver must be 16 or older. No driving after drinking.
  2. Where you can go. The cart stays inside the Puerto Aventuras gates. Never take it on Highway 307, on the beach or on sand.
  3. How to drive it. Keep to the community speed limit of 30 km/h. Lights on at night. Everyone seated, and never more people than seats. Park only in the marked golf cart spaces.
  4. Delivery and pick-up. We deliver and pick up the cart free, anywhere inside Puerto Aventuras, at the time we agree. We take photos of the cart with you at delivery and again at pick-up.
  5. Charging and care. The cart is electric, so plug it in overnight. Lock the charger to the cart or keep it indoors at night. Take the key with you whenever you park.
  6. Security deposit. The deposit is $200 and it is fully refundable. It is paid in cash on delivery and handed back in cash when we pick up the cart. It comes back in full when the cart returns in the same condition, with its key and charger. We only keep what it costs to put right damage, loss or a late return, and we show you the photos and the cost.
  7. Damage and loss. You pay the repair cost for damage caused while you have the cart (curbs, sand, overloading, collisions). A lost key costs $40. A lost charger costs $300. If the cart is stolen because the key was left in it, you are responsible for its value.
  8. Breakdowns. Message us on WhatsApp at +52 55 3895 5620. We fix or swap the cart, normally the same day, at no charge unless the fault was caused by misuse.
  9. Paying. The rental and the security deposit are paid in cash when the cart is delivered, in US dollars or in Mexican pesos at the day's rate. If you book ahead, we hold your dates with 20% of the rental, arranged with you on WhatsApp, and the rest is paid on delivery. Prices are in US dollars.
  10. Cancelling and changing. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before delivery. Inside 48 hours we keep one day's rental. If you booked a weekly or monthly price and return early, we re-price at the rate for the time you actually had the cart and refund the difference.
  11. Returning late. Tell us and we will extend if the cart is free. Otherwise a late return costs $10 an hour, up to one extra day's rental.
  12. Your safety. A golf cart has no doors, airbags or seat belts like a car. You use it at your own risk. As far as Mexican law allows, we are not responsible for injury, or for damage to other people's property, caused while you have the cart.
  13. The legal part. These terms are governed by the laws of Quintana Roo, Mexico. If the English and Spanish versions ever differ, the Spanish version is the one that counts.

Términos de renta

  1. Quién puede rentar y manejar. Para rentar debe tener 18 años o más. Usted es responsable del carrito y de cualquier persona que lo maneje. Todo conductor debe tener 16 años o más. No se maneja después de tomar alcohol.
  2. Por dónde puede circular. El carrito no sale de Puerto Aventuras. Nunca lo lleve a la carretera 307, a la playa ni a la arena.
  3. Cómo manejarlo. Respete el límite de velocidad de la comunidad, 30 km/h. Luces encendidas de noche. Todos sentados y nunca más personas que asientos. Estaciónese solo en los espacios marcados para carritos de golf.
  4. Entrega y recolección. Entregamos y recogemos el carrito sin costo, en cualquier punto dentro de Puerto Aventuras, a la hora acordada. Tomamos fotos del carrito con usted al entregarlo y otra vez al recogerlo.
  5. Carga y cuidado. El carrito es eléctrico: conéctelo durante la noche. Deje el cargador asegurado con candado al carrito o guárdelo bajo techo por la noche. Llévese la llave siempre que se estacione.
  6. Depósito en garantía. El depósito es de $200 USD y es totalmente reembolsable. Se paga en efectivo al entregar el carrito y se le devuelve en efectivo en el momento en que lo recogemos. Se devuelve completo si el carrito regresa en las mismas condiciones, con su llave y su cargador. Solo retenemos lo que cueste reparar daños, reponer pérdidas o cubrir un retraso, y le mostramos las fotos y el costo.
  7. Daños y pérdidas. Usted paga el costo de reparación de los daños causados mientras tiene el carrito (golpes contra banquetas, arena, sobrecarga, choques). Una llave perdida cuesta $40 USD. Un cargador perdido cuesta $300 USD. Si roban el carrito por haber dejado la llave puesta, usted responde por su valor.
  8. Fallas. Escríbanos por WhatsApp al +52 55 3895 5620. Reparamos o cambiamos el carrito, normalmente el mismo día, sin costo, salvo que la falla se deba a mal uso.
  9. Pagos. La renta y el depósito en garantía se pagan en efectivo al entregar el carrito, en dólares o en pesos mexicanos al tipo de cambio del día. Si reserva con anticipación, apartamos sus fechas con el 20% de la renta, que acordamos con usted por WhatsApp, y el resto se paga a la entrega. Los precios están en dólares estadounidenses.
  10. Cancelaciones y cambios. Cancelación sin costo hasta 48 horas antes de la entrega. Dentro de las 48 horas conservamos un día de renta. Si reservó con precio semanal o mensual y devuelve el carrito antes, recalculamos con la tarifa del tiempo que realmente lo tuvo y le reembolsamos la diferencia.
  11. Devolución con retraso. Avísenos y extendemos la renta si el carrito está libre. De lo contrario, el retraso tiene un cargo de $10 USD por hora, hasta el equivalente a un día adicional de renta.
  12. Su seguridad. Un carrito de golf no tiene puertas, bolsas de aire ni cinturones de seguridad como un auto. Usted lo usa bajo su propio riesgo. Hasta donde la ley mexicana lo permita, no somos responsables de lesiones ni de daños a bienes de terceros causados mientras usted tiene el carrito.
  13. Lo legal. Estos términos se rigen por las leyes de Quintana Roo, México. Si las versiones en inglés y en español llegaran a diferir, prevalece la versión en español.
